Author Guidelines

The South Asian Journal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research (SAJCDR) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal publishing high-quality manuscripts in all fields of clinical medicine, surgery, diagnostics, pathology, radiology, pharmacology, public health, basic medical sciences, and allied health sciences.

Types of manuscripts accepted:
• Original Articles
• Review Articles
• Systematic Reviews & Meta-Analyses

• Short Communications
• Letters to the Editor

General requirements:
• Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere.
• All submissions must be written in clear English.
• Follow the ICMJE Recommendations.
• Follow appropriate reporting guidelines (CONSORT, STROBE, PRISMA, CARE, ARRIVE, etc.) where applicable.
• Ethical approval and informed consent must be stated when required.
• Clinical trials should include trial registration details.
• References should follow the Vancouver style.
• Plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, and image manipulation are not permitted.

The editorial office reserves the right to make minor editorial changes to improve clarity and consistency.

Submission Preparation Checklist

  • The manuscript is original and has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
  • All authors have approved the submitted version.
  • Ethical approval has been obtained where applicable.
  • Informed consent has been obtained where applicable.
  • The manuscript follows the journal formatting guidelines.
  • References are in Vancouver style.
  • Figures and tables are properly numbered and cited.
  • Conflicts of interest have been disclosed.
  • Funding information has been provided.
  • AI tools, if used, have been disclosed appropriately.
  • Plagiarism has been checked before submission.

Original Articles

Original Articles are full-length reports of original clinical, diagnostic, laboratory, epidemiological, translational, or public health research. Manuscripts should present novel findings with scientific rigor and comply with international reporting guidelines where applicable (CONSORT, STROBE, PRISMA, CARE, etc.). All submissions undergo double-blind peer review.

Review Articles

Review Articles provide comprehensive, evidence-based overviews of important topics in clinical medicine, diagnostic sciences, and allied health disciplines. Reviews should critically evaluate current literature, identify knowledge gaps, and discuss future directions. High-quality narrative reviews are welcome. All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review.

Systematic Reviews & Meta-Analyses

This section publishes high-quality systematic reviews and meta-analyses that synthesize available evidence on clinically relevant topics. Authors should prepare manuscripts in accordance with the PRISMA Statement and clearly describe the search strategy, eligibility criteria, risk of bias assessment, and methods of data synthesis. All submissions undergo double-blind peer review.

Case Report

This section publishes well-documented case reports describing rare diseases, unusual clinical presentations, novel diagnostic approaches, unexpected treatment outcomes, or important adverse events that provide valuable educational insights for clinicians. Authors are encouraged to follow the CARE (CAse REport) guidelines. All submissions undergo double-blind peer review.

Short Communications

Short Communications are concise reports of original research, preliminary findings, innovative techniques, or noteworthy clinical observations that make a significant scientific contribution but do not require a full-length article. Manuscripts should present clear objectives, methods, results, and conclusions. All submissions undergo double-blind peer review.
